On January 24, 1992, China and Israel established diplomatic relations at the ambassadorial level, opening a new chapter in the relations between the two countries and two nationalities. Over the past 30 years, China Israel practical cooperation has become increasingly close. China has become Israel's first trading partner in Asia and the third largest trading partner in the world. The trade volume between the two countries reached US $22.8 billion in 2021, more than 450 times that at the beginning of the establishment of diplomatic relations. Chinese enterprises have actively participated in Israel's infrastructure construction. Many Israeli innovative enterprises have settled in China for development. In 2019, 170000 Chinese citizens visited Israel, and about 100000 Israeli citizens visited China.
