The meeting proposed to implement the goal of carbon peak and carbon neutralization in 2022, prepare the road map of green development of the automobile industry, study and clarify the support policies such as the continuation of preferential purchase tax for new energy vehicles as soon as possible, improve the points management requirements and stabilize market expectations. At present, new energy vehicles are showing a good situation of "double improvement" in market scale and development quality. According to the data, a total of 3.521 million new energy vehicles were sold in 2021, a year-on-year increase of 1.6 times, which promoted the end of the downward trend of automobile production and sales for three consecutive years, ranking first in the world for seven consecutive years, and the domestic sales of Chinese brands accounted for 76%. The innovation ability has been significantly improved, and the computing power of vehicle lidar and artificial intelligence chip has reached the international advanced level.
