Article 36 of the constitution of the people's Republic of China stipulates that "no one may use religion to carry out activities that disrupt social order, harm citizens' health and hinder the state's educational system." Article 8 of the education law of the people's Republic of China stipulates: "educational activities must conform to the state and social public interests. The state separates education from religion. No organization or individual may use religion to carry out activities that hinder the state's educational system." Article 4 of the law of the people's Republic of China on the promotion of civil run education stipulates: "private schools shall implement the principle of separating education from religion. No organization or individual may use religion to carry out activities that hinder the national education system." Article 4 of the regulations on religious affairs stipulates that "no organization or individual may use religion to engage in illegal activities that endanger national security, disrupt social order, harm citizens' health, hinder the national education system, or damage national interests, social and public interests and citizens' legitimate rights and interests." It should be noted that the provision that religion shall not hinder the national education system does not exclude religious circles from actively supporting the national education. Religion shall not be used to carry out activities that hinder the national education system, which mainly has two meanings: first, religion shall not be used to hinder citizens from receiving school education and social public education, and religion shall not be used to hinder the implementation of compulsory education; Second, it is not allowed to use religion to hinder the normal progress of school teaching activities.
