The handover ceremony of the Chinese government's model cooperation project for poverty reduction in Myanmar was held in Naypyidaw, the capital of Myanmar, on the 30th. Chen Hai, Chinese ambassador to Myanmar, and Lamo, Minister of cooperatives and rural development of Myanmar, attended and signed the handover certificate. In his speech, Chen Hai said that since the launch of the China aid poverty reduction Demonstration cooperation project in Myanmar in February 2018, it has built "hard facilities" for livelihood projects such as roads, drinking water projects, community development centers and school teaching buildings for the two demonstration villages of eqangda and minbin, and carried out experience sharing "soft cooperation" such as planting and breeding training and community environmental governance, benefiting the local people. Chen Hai expressed the hope that the China Myanmar poverty reduction Demonstration cooperation project will continue to play a demonstration and driving role in Myanmar's rural development. China will continue to share with Myanmar its experience in poverty alleviation and rural revitalization, so as to help the Myanmar people get rid of poverty and become rich and promote national development. Ramo said that poverty eradication is a common task faced by all countries in the world. Myanmar will learn from China's successful experience in poverty alleviation and promote the development of its poverty reduction cause. Myanmar hopes to deepen cooperation with China, enlarge the Demonstration cooperation effect of poverty reduction, and provide reference for poverty alleviation in Myanmar and other countries in the region. Wen zeyatun, vice chairman of the national coordinating body for Lancang Mekong cooperation of the Ministry of foreign affairs of Myanmar, said that the smooth handover of the poverty reduction Demonstration cooperation project is another milestone in Myanmar China friendly cooperation and highlights the friendship between the two countries.
