The second international seminar on counter-terrorism with the theme of "new counter-terrorism situation, new threats, new challenges and joint response to new measures" was held recently through a combination of online and offline. In his keynote speech at the opening ceremony, Assistant Foreign Minister Wu JiangHao said that throughout 2021, the Global Counter-Terrorism situation has experienced great changes and international terrorist activities have entered a new cycle. Out of political self-interest, some countries tried to wash the white hat for the "East Iraq movement". It is hoped that all countries will fully recognize the violent and terrorist nature of the "East Iran movement" and continue to resolutely crack down with China. The international community should strengthen solidarity and join hands in combating terrorism. The participants believed that terrorism is the common enemy of all mankind and a major threat to world peace and security. The changing situation in Afghanistan has added variables to the regional and international counter-terrorism situation, and the abuse of networks and emerging technologies by terrorist forces has become increasingly prominent. China has achieved positive results in the field of counter-terrorism and depolarization, and is increasingly becoming an important force leading the right direction of international counter-terrorism cooperation.
