Dajiang is on the US sanctions list again? After several years of repeated copying and cutting, the United States has faced an embarrassing reality
2021-12-17
It has been brewing for a long time. Every punch hit by the United States has not hurt China. Instead, it has become stronger and stronger. It has no choice but to use its "good" sanctions stick again to Blackhand Chinese enterprises. The United States will make another move. The British media broke the news that on the 16th local time, the U.S. Treasury will sanction eight Chinese enterprises, including Dajiang technology company, a Chinese UAV manufacturer, on the grounds of the so-called "human rights situation in Xinjiang". This is not a long-term move. On December 13, China Shangtang technology announced on the Hong Kong stock exchange that it would delay the global offering and listing. The delay was due to the unreasonable pressure of the United States. On December 10, the U.S. Treasury Department listed Shangtang Group Co., Ltd. in the list of non SDN Chinese military industrial complex enterprises. This list was formulated by the Biden administration in June 2021. After being listed, U.S. investors will not be able to participate in the trading of their open market stocks and derivatives. In fact, it is not the first time that China Shangtang technology has been sanctioned by the United States. In 2019, Dahua Technology, Hikvision, iFLYTEK and Kuangshi technology will be included in the "entity list" of the United States together with Shangtang technology. On November 25, the Bureau of industry and security of the U.S. Department of commerce also included 12 Chinese enterprises in the "entity list". The United States included seven Chinese supercomputer entities in the "entity list" as early as April. From the perspective of a series of sanctioned enterprises, Chinese enterprises in artificial intelligence and chip manufacturing have become the focus of the United States. Looking at China's rapid progress in many aspects, I have a deep sense of crisis. Instead of waiting until I am surpassed one day, I'd better punish and suppress it now and make myself beautiful alone. The eight Chinese enterprises, including Dajiang, first disclosed by the British media, will be included in the list of so-called "Chinese military industrial complex enterprises" by the U.S. Treasury Department. This is a blacklist of investment. At present, there are about 60 Chinese enterprises in the list. And the US Department of commerce is also planning to sanction some enterprises involved in biotechnology. It is not the first time that Dajiang, a well-known UAV manufacturer, has been targeted by the United States. American departments do not work together, and it is unexpected to suppress enterprises in other countries. As early as 2018, the US Department of defense personally launched a campaign to prohibit the military from purchasing and using Dajiang UAVs on the grounds of network security vulnerabilities. At the end of 2019, the US Department of the interior grounded about 800 Chinese made UAVs. At that time, a US interior ministry memorandum leaked to the Financial Times said that during Trump's term of office, his ban on Chinese drones made it more difficult to extinguish wildfires in the United States. After you sing, I'll come on stage. In 2020, the US Secretary of the interior ordered to stop further purchase of Chinese UAVs... On December 18, 2020, the US Department of Commerce included Dajiang in the so-called "entity list" to "control" the company's import and export to the United States. In January 2021, even at the last moment of his term of office, trump did not forget to sign a presidential executive order to put pressure on Chinese enterprises again. Biden has come, and the United States is still the naughty and rogue United States. Schumer, leader of the majority party (Democratic Party) in the US Senate, proposed an American innovation and competition act, including the so-called American security UAV act. This bill aims to prohibit the federal government from purchasing UAVs made by countries considered to be "a threat to the United States", including China. This bill is really called "American innovation and competition" ? It sounds like the United States relies on its own innovation and competition, rather than maliciously suppressing and restricting enterprises in other countries. Even without the support of the so-called "bill", many federal agencies in the United States have imposed temporary restrictions on the use of Chinese UAVs. It's such a scoundrel. If you can't have it, you'll destroy you. Strangely enough, the sanctions that have been escalated year by year have not affected the foundation of Dajiang. Dajiang has responded to the previous sanctions of the United States: it will "continue to sell in the United States". After all, good quality and low price are tangible. Let alone the purchase and use of ordinary people, even if there is a ban, the U.S. Navy and air force have been buying Dajiang UAVs. In 2019, the U.S. Department of defense was allowed to purchase Chinese UAVs for training and intelligence purposes in the United States and overseas. Just this year, the Pentagon also released a report saying that two UAVs in Dajiang have passed the security audit and are allowed to be used. Many law enforcement agencies in the United States are Dajiang users. Dajiang's market share in the United States is 76.1%. In 2020, 32% of Dajiang's UAV sales will be "absorbed" by the American market. The original intention of the U.S. security UAV act was to prohibit federal funds from purchasing or operating Chinese UAVs. At that time, some analysts said that this move would crack down on police departments that rely on federal help to deploy new equipment. And the United States has not thought of other ways to raise tariffs, so the price of UAVs will rise, and it is American consumers who will eventually pay the bill. Such embarrassing realities are what the US government has to face today. Is it feasible to completely "decouple" from China and reject "made in China"? The United States also shows that there are fewer and fewer areas in which it has an absolute advantage. Many countries are catching up in many aspects. After all, it doesn't seem to take many years to surpass an immobile "old man"! (Xinhua News Agency)
