Chen maobo, financial secretary of the HKSAR government, previously submitted a petition to the court of first instance of the high court of the HKSAR to liquidate one media Co., Ltd. (one media) in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong. The high court held a relevant hearing on the 15th and issued an order to liquidate one media. On July 28 this year, Chen maobo said that citing the companies (winding up and Miscellaneous Provisions) Ordinance, he appointed Chen Jinrong, a senior accountant and former president of the Institute of certified public accountants, as an examiner to investigate the affairs of one media. On September 29, Chen maobo said that he had been empowered under the companies (winding up and Miscellaneous Provisions) Ordinance. After considering an interim report submitted by the inspector to the financial secretary earlier, he considered that it was in the public interest to liquidate one media, so he decided to submit a petition to the court. One media is a media group controlled by Li Zhiying, the leader of Anti China chaos in Hong Kong. On May 14, 2021, the Secretary for security of the HKSAR government issued a written notice to freeze the shares of one media held by Li Zhiying and the property of the three companies in the local bank accounts in Hong Kong.
