Recently, the regulations of Yunnan Province on religious affairs was adopted at the 27th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 13th Yunnan Provincial People's Congress and will come into force on January 1, 2022. There are 45 articles in the regulations, which make corresponding specific provisions on religious organizations, religious colleges and universities, places of religious activities, religious staff, religious activities, religious property, etc. In terms of the principles and general requirements for the administration of religious affairs, the regulations reaffirm that citizens have freedom of religious belief; It is clear that religious work should adhere to the leadership of the Communist Party of China, fully implement the party's basic policy on religious work, adhere to the direction of Sinicization of China's religion, and actively guide religion to adapt to socialist society; The principles of protecting legality, stopping illegality, curbing extremism, resisting infiltration and cracking down on crime have been clarified in the management of religious affairs. The regulations specify that the legitimate rights and interests of religious organizations, religious institutions, places of religious activities, religious staff and religious citizens and normal religious activities are protected by law. At the same time, religious organizations, religious colleges and universities, places of religious activities, religious staff and religious citizens shall abide by the constitution, laws, regulations and rules, practice the core socialist values, and maintain national unity, ethnic unity, religious harmony and social stability. The regulations provide for regulating the religious activities of foreign organizations and individuals in Yunnan Province, and make it clear that foreign organizations and individuals shall abide by the relevant provisions of Chinese laws, regulations and rules when conducting religious activities in the administrative areas of Yunnan Province, and shall not establish religious organizations, religious offices, places for religious activities or run religious colleges and universities. The regulations also make clear provisions on the management, enrollment, religious activities, religious education and training of religious colleges and universities, the preparation, establishment, registration, construction and security management of religious places, the management of educational activities of religious teaching staff, Internet religious information services, etc. (outlook new era)
