Tunisian health minister murabit met with Chinese medical team members in the capital Tunisia at the Tunisian Ministry of health on the same day and awarded them honorary certificates. He said that China's aid team was fearless during the COVID-19 period, showing the excellent medical skills and strong sense of responsibility of China's medical staff for the health and selfless dedication of the Tunisian people. Murabit also thanked the Chinese government for its long-term medical assistance and support to Tunisia. Zhang Jianguo, Chinese ambassador to Tunisia, said at the commendation ceremony that the Chinese foreign aid medical team is a messenger of health and friendship. Since China began sending medical teams to Tunisia in 1973, Chinese medical teams have provided 5.79 million outpatient services to Tunisians and completed 326000 operations. Zhang Jianguo said that China will continue to work with Tunisia to implement the contents of the Dakar action plan (2022-2024) adopted at the eighth ministerial meeting of the Forum on China Africa cooperation and promote the continuous development of China Tunisia cooperation in the field of health.
