The mainland epidemic prevention and control expert group arrived in Hong Kong on the 20th for a four-day inspection to understand the epidemic prevention and anti epidemic work and measures in Hong Kong. The mainland expert delegation to Hong Kong is organized by the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council and the National Health Commission. Its members include epidemic prevention and control experts from the National Health Commission, Guangdong Province, Shenzhen and Zhuhai. The Hong Kong and Macao Office of the State Council and the Hong Kong China joint Office of the State Council also sent personnel to participate. Upon arrival in Hong Kong, the expert group attended a briefing organized by the SAR government. The expert group will visit units and facilities related to epidemic prevention and anti epidemic work in Hong Kong from 21 to 23, and meet with personnel to exchange and share experience. At the briefing, the Chief Secretary for administration of the SAR government, Li Jiachao, on behalf of the SAR government, thanked the central government for its support and concern for Hong Kong's epidemic prevention and anti epidemic work, and welcomed the mainland expert delegation to visit Hong Kong. He said that the visit of mainland experts to Hong Kong is an important follow-up work after the first docking meeting between the two places on September 26 and the video exchange meeting between the two places held on November 2. He hoped that mainland experts would take this opportunity to have a deeper understanding of the epidemic situation, anti epidemic strategies and policies and measures in Hong Kong. Li Jiachao stressed that the SAR government will continue to take "clearing" as the goal, adhere to the prevention and control strategy of "external defense input and internal defense rebound", and continue to strengthen and implement various epidemic prevention and control measures according to the principle of joint prevention and control.
