In addition, the chief executive has specified 12 January 2022 as the commencement date of the Legislative Council session in 2022 in accordance with the Ordinance; 11:00 am on the 12th is the date and time of the first meeting of the seventh Legislative Council. The notice was published in the government gazette on the 19th. The election of the seventh Legislative Council of the HKSAR will be held on December 19. 20 members will be elected from geographical constituencies, 30 members from functional constituencies and 40 members from election committee constituencies, a total of 90 members.
