On November 15, the Sixth China Africa nongovernmental forum was held in Beijing. Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee and state president, sent a congratulatory letter to the forum. Xi Jinping emphasized that the world today is both an era of great development and a time of great change. Facing new opportunities and challenges, China and Africa need more than ever to uphold and carry forward the common values of peace, development, fairness, justice, democracy and freedom of all mankind, strengthen unity and cooperation, jointly promote prosperity and development, and work together to build a community with a shared future for mankind. It is hoped that China and Africa will make joint efforts to turn the China Africa non-governmental forum into a link to strengthen the China Africa comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, a bridge to promote the spiritual connection between the Chinese and African people, a model of China Africa community of common destiny, and jointly create a new situation of China Africa non-governmental friendly cooperation.
