On the evening of November 14, State Councilor and foreign minister Wang Yi met with diplomatic envoys of ASEAN countries in Beijing. Wang Yi said that since novel coronavirus pneumonia outbreak, President Xi Jinping has been closely communicating with ASEAN leaders and supporting each other. The two sides will soon jointly hold a summit commemorating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of China ASEAN dialogue relations. This is a landmark meeting that will plan and guide the development of bilateral relations in the next 30 years. The diplomatic envoys of ASEAN countries to China congratulated the successful holding of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee and expressed the hope to work with China to hold the summit commemorating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of dialogue relations and jointly seize opportunities and cooperate to meet challenges.
