Recently, some US politicians have made "small moves" on the Taiwan issue and "encroached" on the one China principle, which has aroused great indignation among the Chinese people. For example, US Secretary of state Blinken said recently that the United States has a commitment to ensure Taiwan's ability to defend itself, and that many countries will unilaterally use force to sabotage the status quo as a major threat to peace and security. What the United States has done is double dealing and backwardness. In the three Sino US joint communiques, the two sides have already clearly written down the one China principle concerning the Taiwan issue. Recognizing that "Taiwan is a part of China" is the political basis of China US relations and the policy adhered to by successive US governments since the establishment of diplomatic relations. Recently, during the first call between China and the US dollar, President Biden said that the US side has never intended to change the one China policy. Now, the United States has different words and deeds, which not only violates its political commitments made when establishing diplomatic relations with China, but also runs counter to President Biden's statement. As we all know, 180 countries in the world recognize and support the one China principle. The international community's adherence to the one China principle is as firm as a rock. China's reunification is an irresistible historical trend. The one China principle involves China's core interests, and there is no room for bargaining on this core issue. The US side's attempt to make a fuss and make a "breakthrough" on the Taiwan issue is a miscalculation. Who is undermining peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait? It is the Taiwan authorities and a small number of "Taiwan independence" separatist forces! Their attempts to deny and challenge the one China principle and expand the space for "Taiwan independence" activities are the root cause of the current tension in the Taiwan Strait and are firmly opposed by the Chinese government and the international community. The US side's various "small moves" are clearly to support these "Taiwan independence" forces, for fear that the world will not be chaotic, which is bound to undermine the stability of the situation in the Taiwan Strait. The US side knows very well that "Taiwan independence" separatists are like string puppets. The US side's "baton" determines the height and frequency of these "Taiwan independence" separatists jumping up and down. The heart of the people is the greatest politics. The will of the more than 1.4 billion Chinese people to promote the complete reunification of the motherland is unshakable. Taiwan has no future other than reunification with the mainland. For the purpose of containing China, the United States wants to play the "Taiwan card" because it cannot live with more than 1.4 billion Chinese people and runs counter to the historical trend. Its failure is doomed. Linking up with "Taiwan independence" forces is a dangerous game; Playing with fire with the "Taiwan independence" separatists will eventually set them on fire. "Adhere to the one China principle and the '1992 consensus', resolutely oppose the separatist act of' Taiwan independence ', resolutely oppose the interference of external forces, and firmly grasp the leading and initiative in cross-strait relations." this is a clear and firm signal sent to the world by the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee. The tide of history is mighty. All adventurous and provocative acts against the general trend of China's reunification are like ants trying to shake trees and are doomed to failure. We advise us politicians not to play a "marginal ball" on the one China issue and not to go their own way on the road of playing the "Taiwan card". This will not only pose a huge risk of subversion to China US relations and seriously damage peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait, but also seriously damage the US side's own interests. It is hoped that US politicians will recognize the reality, abide by their commitments, adhere to the one China principle and the provisions of the three Sino US joint communiques, stop wrong words and deeds, and take practical actions to maintain the overall situation of China US relations and peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait.
