Not long ago, the 24th Beijing International Music Festival came to an end. Over the past 23 years, the Beijing International Music Festival has insisted on letting classical music take root in China and building a bridge for cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries. In this year's Beijing International Music Festival, our original intention of spreading classical music culture remains unchanged and our confidence in talking Chinese stories remains unchanged. Beijing International Music Festival has been adhering to the concept of "integrity and innovation". Shouzheng is to inherit the classical music gene of the highest quality and let the audience feel the classics; Innovation is to seek the same frequency resonance between classical music and current life, so that more people can approach music and feel music. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. The Beijing International Music Festival and the symphony union of the China Music Association planned and established a festival orchestra composed of 100 party members. The chorus symphony concert "in the bright sun" kicked off the music festival to pay tribute to the Centennial birthday of the great Communist Party of China. The theme of this music festival is "masters and remembrance". Looking back on the vast history of music, the footprints of previous masters are like stars illuminating the night sky. Every musician enters the music world with respect for the master, and naturally has the responsibility to pass on this beautiful fire from generation to generation. "Dialogue" is a specially planned dimension of this year's music festival. We arranged the works of several Chinese and foreign musicians to perform in the same concert. Beijing International Music Festival should be a platform for the exchange of music and culture between the East and the West and tell Chinese stories all over the world. Therefore, it must have cultural confidence and let more people see the world-class artistic quality of Chinese musicians. Over the years, China's outstanding composers have diligently created many classic works, which not only promote the continuous progress of China's Symphony cause, but also let the world know more about China. When I perform with some well-known orchestras in the world, I try to bring the works of Chinese composers. When recording records, I also require that each record must contain Chinese works. I hope to let more people see music works that can represent Chinese cultural elements, let the world know the beauty of Chinese classical melody, and tell Chinese stories with music. I always firmly believe that music is a necessity of life, because music contains the wisdom of our ancestors, beautiful respect and human dignity. The future of music belongs to young people. We should try our best to provide young people with opportunities to learn and show. Many young musicians have moved from the Beijing International Music Festival to the world stage. This year, a large number of excellent young musicians met with the audience. This year, we also specially planned the Beijing Hong Kong Macao Youth Art Carnival, which is the result of the music festival's adherence to the concepts of "public welfare", "art popularization" and "aesthetic education" for many years.
