On board the Yangtze River ship, the cabin where Chairman Mao lived and the cab of the Yangtze River ship were vividly presented to the audience, just like old films, which soon brought people into the difficult years when the navy was founded. On February 19, 1953, Chairman Mao inspected the naval forces for the first time. He sailed on the Yangtze River for four days and three nights in warships and wrote an inscription for the Yangtze River ship: "in order to oppose imperialist aggression, we must build a strong navy." therefore, the Yangtze River ship has become a special milestone in the development journey of new China. In the team visiting the Yangtze River ship, there was a 96 year old veteran named Xu Shiping, who was the first party representative of the Yangtze River ship. In 1968, the PLA Navy command issued a notice to change some warships to honorary codes, and the Yangtze River ship was awarded "53-219". Now, the Yangtze River ship is painted with the honor code of "53-219", which sets the historical starting point of the development of the new Chinese navy in this form. An 8.1-meter-long bright flame platform is specially set on the base of the sculpture. Viewed from the sea, the sharp sword is like a ship's mast, the base is like a ship's bow, and the overall sculpture is like a warship chopping waves, implying the heroic spirit of the people's navy, which fully shows the unique blood courage and spiritual characteristics of the people's navy. On the day of the opening of the Haibo Museum, the statue of heroes lit a constant flame of symbolic spirit. Naval officers and soldiers participating in the opening ceremony presented flower baskets to the revolutionary heroes of the people's navy and paid tribute to the model naval heroes. In the hall of heroes of Haibo, the names of more than 1600 martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the history of the people's navy are engraved on the towering stone tablet of Mount Tai.
