The illegal assembly case of Li Zhiying, an anti China Hong Kong riot, and others is proved to be tenable

The District Court of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region ruled on the 4th that an illegal assembly case involving three people, including Li Zhiying, an anti China Hong Kong riot, occurred in Victoria Park, Causeway Bay in 2020. The prima facie evidence was established, and the judge postponed the retrial of the case. Li Zhiying and other 8 people were charged with inciting others to participate in unauthorized assembly. The case was tried again in the regional court on the 1st. Li Zhuoren and five others pleaded guilty at that time, and the judge announced that the case would be postponed to November 12 to deal with the plea and sentence. Li Zhiying, Zou Xingtong and he Guilan pleaded not guilty at that time, and the case continued to be heard. On the 4th, the judge ruled that the prima facie evidence of the case was established, and postponed the trial of the case until the defense asked for instructions. The illegal assembly case involved 26 defendants, including Li Zhiying, Li Zhuoren, he Junren and Huang Zhifeng. So far, 21 people have pleaded guilty or been sentenced. The other two defendants Luo Guancong and Zhang Kunyang have left Hong Kong, and the court has issued arrest orders to them. (Xinhua News Agency)
