Peru became one of the first Latin American countries to establish diplomatic relations with the people's Republic of China. Although China and Peru are separated by vast oceans, the friendship between the two countries has a long history. As early as the middle of the 16th century, the two peoples crossed the vast Pacific Ocean and left the mark of civilization blending in the historical process. In the middle of the 19th century, early Chinese immigrants arrived in Peru and made important contributions to the development of Peru. Since the signing of the cultural cooperation agreement in 1986, cultural exchanges between China and Peru have been closer and closer, and the two peoples' understanding of each other's culture has been deepened day by day. Peru's splendid Inca civilization, Machu Picchu ruins and NASCAR paintings have attracted many Chinese tourists.
