The meeting adopted the declaration of the G20 leaders' Rome summit, reaffirming the important role of multilateralism and international cooperation in responding to the epidemic and promoting green and equitable growth. The declaration said that G20 leaders agreed to further strengthen cooperation and jointly respond to the epidemic, paying special attention to the needs of the most vulnerable groups. G20 leaders stressed that vaccines are one of the most important tools to combat the epidemic. They reiterated that widespread vaccination is a global public product and will increase efforts to ensure timely, equitable and universal access to safe, affordable, high-quality and effective vaccines, treatment and diagnostic tools, with particular attention to the needs of low - and middle-income countries. "We will take measures to help developing countries increase the supply of vaccines, key medical products and raw materials and solve relevant supply and financing constraints," the declaration said In addressing climate change, G20 leaders reaffirmed their commitment to the full and effective implementation of the United Nations Framework Convention on climate change and the Paris Agreement, take mitigation, adaptation and financial actions in this critical decade, reflect the principle of common but differentiated responsibilities and respective capabilities, and take into account different national conditions. The leaders expressed their continued commitment to the goal of the Paris agreement to control the global average temperature rise below 2 ℃ and strive to limit it to 1.5 ℃ above the pre industrial level. Italian Prime Minister Draghi, the rotating chairman of the G20, said at the closing press conference that "the best form of cooperation we know is multilateralism".
