According to foreign media reports, the American company Anduril has announced the development of a torpedo specifically launched by unmanned platforms, codenamed "Copperplate Serpent-M". The "Copperplate Serpent-M" torpedo includes two models: Copperplate Serpent-100 and Copperplate Serpent-500. The diameter of the Copper Spotted Serpent-100 is 0.32 meters, it is 2.5 meters long, and weighs 45 kilograms. The diameter of the "Copper Spotted Serpent-500" is 0.53 meters, it is 4 meters long, and weighs 227 kilograms. The two types of torpedoes have a similar appearance to heavy torpedoes, with a maximum speed exceeding 30 knots. According to reports, the "Copperplate Serpent-M" torpedo can be carried and launched by unmanned boats developed by Anduril Corporation, or carried by cargo planes or large and medium-sized drones and launched from the air to strike underwater and surface targets. Before launch, users can set torpedo attack parameters on their own, allowing them to autonomously select targets. Compared to existing torpedoes, the cost of the "Copperplate Serpent-M" torpedo is lower.
