Macao SAR and France sign agreement to strengthen scientific research exchange and cooperation

The Secretary for Economy and Finance of the Macao Special Administrative Region, Dai Jianye, recently signed an agreement on the implementation of scientific research cooperation plans between the Macao Special Administrative Region Government of the People's Republic of China and the French Republic Government on behalf of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government and the French Consul General in Hong Kong, Du Liti. The agreement aims to strengthen exchanges and cooperation between both parties in the field of scientific research, promote technological innovation and talent cultivation. Dai Jianye delivered a speech at the signing ceremony, stating that the new SAR government actively cultivates and develops new quality productive forces in Macau, and focuses on promoting technological innovation; At the same time, deepen international exchanges and cooperation, and strengthen cooperation with international scientific research institutions. The signing of a cooperation agreement with France this time is an important opportunity for complementary advantages and mutual benefit. This not only injects strong impetus into Macau's technological innovation, helps Macau play a greater role in the "Guangzhou Shenzhen Hong Kong Macau" technological innovation corridor, promotes moderate and diversified economic development, but also deepens exchanges and cooperation between China and France in the field of science and technology, contributing to technological progress. Du Liti said in her speech that this cooperation will build a communication bridge for researchers from both sides. France looks forward to working together with Macau to leverage their respective strengths and jointly promote technological progress. It is believed that activities such as joint scientific research projects and talent exchanges will not only promote the improvement of scientific research level, but also deepen the friendship between the people of France and China. With the signing of the agreement, both parties will carry out joint funding programs in technology fields of common interest, organize collaborative activities such as seminars, workshops, scientific research and technical personnel exchanges and visits.
