Fu Cong said that 80 years ago, the people of the world fought bloody battles and completely defeated fascism, achieving a great victory of justice over evil, light over darkness, and progress over reaction! As the main battlefield in the East, China suffered over 35 million casualties and resisted the main forces of Japanese militarism, making an indelible contribution to the victory of the World Anti Fascist War. Fu Cong pointed out that the victory of World War II opened a new chapter of peace and development. Today, 80 years later, the world has entered a new period of turbulence and change, with unilateralism rampant and bullying rampant. The international community should take the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the victory of World War II as an opportunity, learn from history, revisit our original aspirations, shoulder the responsibility of the times, and open up a bright future. Fu Cong said that we should jointly promote the correct view of World War II history. Only by having a correct understanding of history can we realize the noble ideal of "saving future generations from the scourge of war" in the United Nations Charter. Any attempt or action to downplay, deny, or distort the history of World War II, any speech that glorifies aggressive wars and colonial rule, is a mockery of history and an insult to human conscience, and will inevitably lose credibility with the people of the world. Fu Cong stated that we must jointly defend the achievements of World War II victory. After the devastation of World War II, the international community jointly established the United Nations, formulated the United Nations Charter, laid the foundation of the modern international order, established the basic norms of contemporary international relations, and gradually deepened the concepts of sovereign equality, non-interference in internal affairs, and peaceful resolution of disputes. The international community must firmly uphold the international system with the United Nations at its core, maintain the international order based on international law, uphold the rules based multilateral trading system, and firmly reject all forms of power politics and bullying. Fu Cong emphasized the need to jointly uphold the authority and status of the United Nations. The United Nations has played an important role in maintaining world peace and promoting common development, but it also needs to keep pace with the times and continuously reform and improve. The more turbulent the situation, the more the international community needs to unite and support the United Nations in playing a central role in international affairs. Individual countries tend to use the United Nations when it suits them and abandon it when it doesn't, frequently breaking treaties and withdrawing from the group, defaulting on payments and cutting off supplies, attempting to prioritize their own interests over international public interests. Their actions are unpopular and will ultimately end in failure. Fu Cong stated that inheriting history, guarding peace, and adhering to the right path are the best consolation for the martyrs. China is willing to work with the vast number of UN member states to practice true multilateralism, build a solid foundation for world peace and development, and join hands to build a community with a shared future for mankind.
