During the recent short holiday, tourist attractions in the Macau Peninsula, Taipa, and Coloane districts were bustling with visitors. In response to important holidays, the tourism bureau actively deployed various promotions, including online and offline promotion of diversified "tourism+", as well as various discounts. Preliminary statistics show that from May 1st to 5th, Macau received a total of 849819 visitors, an increase of 40.7% compared to last year's Labor Day holiday and surpassing the daily average of 158000 visitors in 2019, reaching approximately 170000 visitors per day. Among them, nearly 222000 tourists entered Macau on May 2nd. According to industry data, the average occupancy rate of hotel venues in Macau during the May Day holiday was 94.1%, an increase of 5.0 percentage points compared to the same period last year. Among them, the occupancy rate on May 2nd was the highest, reaching 98.1%. The Chairman of the Macau Tourism Association, Zhang Jianzhong, stated that during this year's May Day holiday, Macau tourism presented high-quality tourism services, diverse tourism products, and a linkage between Macau, Qinhuangdao, culture, and tourism.
