The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently issued the "Reference Guidelines for Typical Scenarios of Intelligent Manufacturing (2025 Edition)". Based on the exploration and practice of manufacturing enterprises, combined with the development trend of technological innovation and integrated applications, 40 typical scenarios have been condensed from 8 key links including factory construction, product research and development, production management, and production operations. The typical scenario of intelligent manufacturing is the foundation of intelligent factory construction and the basic business unit for promoting intelligent manufacturing. Since the 14th Five Year Plan, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, together with relevant departments, has continuously deepened the exploration of the path of scenario based promotion of intelligent manufacturing development, and has iteratively released the "Reference Guidelines for Typical Scenarios of Intelligent Manufacturing" (hereinafter referred to as the "Reference Guidelines"), summarizing and forming high-value, standardized, and promotable typical scenarios. It is reported that compared to the 2024 version, the new version of the "Reference Guidelines" has optimized the layout of key links, added typical scenarios such as digital infrastructure construction, manufacturing engineering optimization, and intelligent business decision-making, highlighted the integration and application of new artificial intelligence technologies in typical scenarios, and strengthened the guidance for enterprise intelligence upgrading. Next, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will work with relevant departments to deepen the implementation of intelligent manufacturing projects based on the "Reference Guidelines", coordinate and promote key work such as gradient cultivation of intelligent factories, innovative solutions, and optimization of standard system construction, and make every effort to create an "upgraded version" of intelligent manufacturing, promoting the expansion, deeper penetration, and higher level of intelligent manufacturing to a larger scale.
