2025-04-28

The National Immigration Administration predicted on the 28th that the daily average number of inbound and outbound personnel at ports nationwide during this year's May Day holiday will reach 2.15 million, an increase of 27% compared to the same period last year. It is expected that the peak of inbound and outbound passenger flow will mainly be concentrated on May 1st and May 5th. The number of inbound and outbound passengers at large international airport ports will steadily increase. The estimated daily average number of inbound and outbound passengers at major international airport ports such as Shanghai Pudong, Guangzhou Baiyun, Beijing Capital, Hangzhou Xiaoshan, and Chengdu Tianfu are 101000, 50000, 45000, 19000, and 18000 respectively. With the "two-way travel" of holidays between Hong Kong, Macao, and mainland China becoming the norm, coupled with multiple large-scale events to be held in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao during the May Day holiday, the clearance flow at adjacent land ports of Hong Kong and Macao will significantly increase. The daily average number of inbound and outbound personnel at Shenzhen Luohu, Futian, Shenzhen Bay, Liantang, and Guangzhou Shenzhen Hong Kong High speed Railway West Kowloon Station ports is expected to reach 250000, 220000, 150000, 100000, and 100000 respectively. The daily average number of inbound and outbound personnel at Zhuhai Gongbei, Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge, Qingmao, and Hengqin ports is expected to reach 370000, 127000, 107000, and 100000 respectively. Recently, the National Immigration Administration has specifically deployed to require border inspection agencies across the country to strengthen monitoring of inbound and outbound traffic and port operations, timely release information on inbound and outbound passenger flow at this port, and provide reference for the general public's travel; Strengthen service organization, allocate sufficient police force, and ensure that Chinese citizens' entry and exit clearance queues do not exceed 30 minutes; Closely coordinate with the joint inspection units and relevant departments at the port, make prudent arrangements for passenger flow diversion and comprehensive transportation support during peak clearance periods, prevent potential adverse effects such as extreme weather, and jointly ensure safe, efficient, and smooth customs clearance at the port. The National Immigration Administration reminds all Chinese and foreign inbound and outbound travelers to pay attention to changes in port passenger flow and customs clearance before traveling, and carefully check whether their entry and exit documents and visa endorsements are valid. If you encounter difficulties during the customs clearance process, you can call the 12367 service hotline of the national immigration management agency or seek help from the immigration management police on duty at any time.
