At the cooperation project signing ceremony of the promotion conference, 12 Zhejiang enterprises including financial services, trade, innovative technology, aviation, logistics, retail and other categories signed contracts with the Hong Kong Investment Promotion Agency to set up business in Hong Kong. Last December, the Hong Kong SAR government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council established a high value-added supply chain service mechanism to assist mainland enterprises in establishing international or regional headquarters for managing offshore trade and supply chains in Hong Kong. Zhejiang and Hong Kong have a deep connection and close exchanges. At present, Hong Kong has become the largest source of foreign investment, the largest service trading partner, and the second largest destination for foreign investment in Zhejiang. According to statistics, in 2024, the trade volume between Zhejiang and Hong Kong reached 8.82 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 10.9%. As of the end of 2024, Hong Kong has invested in establishing over 30000 enterprises in Zhejiang, and Zhejiang has invested in more than 3000 enterprises (institutions) in Hong Kong. On the 24th, the high-level meeting between Zhejiang and Hong Kong and the first meeting of the Zhejiang Hong Kong Cooperation Conference were held in Hangzhou, and the mechanism of the Zhejiang Hong Kong Cooperation Conference was launched.
