Zhao Rujue, Commander of the SAR Government Rescue Team and Deputy Chief of Fire Services, stated in a media interview at the scene that both sides will work together in the rescue, supply, food processing, and epidemic prevention, and will also cooperate in information dissemination. He stated that during the search and rescue process, members of the special zone rescue team were mobilized 61 times, searching 57 locations with a total search and rescue area of 60850 square meters. The rescue team experienced 6 aftershocks and 4 emergency evacuations, which were very dangerous. The team members also need to overcome mosquito infestations and infectious diseases such as malaria and dengue fever in the local area. It is reported that a special zone rescue team of 51 people departed on the afternoon of March 29th to search and rescue in Manderle, one of the earthquake stricken areas in Myanmar. The special zone rescue team and the national rescue team conducted a joint search and successfully rescued one survivor. The special zone rescue team also excavated the bodies of two victims. The special zone rescue team also provided free medical consultations for 35 local disaster victims, donated 3 tons of rescue team supplies and 20 tons of special zone government supplies.
