Local authorities also require doctors in primary healthcare institutions to prioritize recommending low-priced and effective products to the public when prescribing medication. At present, Zhoushan has not only achieved full coverage of "low-priced drug counters" in retail pharmacies through guiding pharmacies and smooth procurement mechanisms, but also ensured stable supply of drugs. High quality and affordable drugs have become standard equipment in pharmacies, which is pleasing and inspiring. For some time now, the withdrawal of some commonly used high-quality and inexpensive drugs from the market has raised concerns. The practice in Zhoushan and some places has proven that opening up ideas, actively innovating, and providing people with ways and space to buy cheap and effective drugs. Of course, from a larger scope and longer period of time, ensuring the uninterrupted supply of high-quality and affordable drugs still faces many challenges.
