National security is the lifeline of a country and the guarantee line for people's lives. National security involves safeguarding state secrets and protecting national interests, covering a wide range of fields and contents, from climate change to deep-sea and polar regions; From biosafety to artificial intelligence; From anti espionage and theft prevention to data security maintenance; From defense of military facilities to protection of major scientific and technological achievements; From finance and cybersecurity to anti fraud and fraud prevention; From the safety of citizens within the country to the safety of overseas tourism and business. Only by widely mobilizing the people to contribute to safeguarding national security can we effectively and powerfully maintain national security. The ultimate goal of national security work is to safeguard the interests of the people. The establishment of National Security Education Day is aimed at raising the awareness of national security among the entire population, building a people's defense line for national security, making every citizen aware of the importance of national security, and enhancing their sense of responsibility and mission to safeguard national security. On the occasion of the first National Security Education Day, General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized that "we should take the establishment of the National Security Education Day as an opportunity, guided by the overall national security concept, fully implement the National Security Law, deepen national security propaganda and education, and effectively enhance the national security awareness of the whole country." The content of national security education is very rich, including theoretical knowledge such as the connotation and extension of the overall national security concept, as well as the rights, obligations, and behavioral norms of citizens, and related laws and regulations. It is a huge knowledge system, and even for experts, scholars, leaders, adults and other groups, there are varying degrees of learning difficulties. On the one hand, it is necessary to establish a national security education system with Chinese characteristics, strengthen the top-level institutional design of national security education, establish a multi departmental coordination mechanism for national security education and publicity, clarify the relevant education and publicity responsibilities of various regions and relevant departments, closely integrate with the actual national security risks, and guide various regions and departments to formulate national security education plans; On the other hand, it is necessary to organize systematic learning and research with a focus on the overall national security concept, and carry out targeted national security education in various fields such as politics, military, land, artificial intelligence, and data. Deepening the promotion and education of national security and mobilizing the entire society to safeguard national security is a fundamental and strategic project that requires constant and unremitting efforts. To conduct in-depth research on the laws and characteristics of national security education, continuously innovate methods and approaches, study different levels of learning modules and knowledge modules such as overall national security concept, domain security theory, practical operation of security positions, typical cases, simulation exercises, etc., and combine with the actual problems faced by national security and the construction of a safe China, promote leaders and the people to learn scientific and accurate national security knowledge, and understand how to maintain national security in their work positions and daily lives. We should give more prominence to the construction of the national security teaching staff, truly establish the concept of "using the best teachers and methods to carry out the most targeted national security education and training", screen excellent training resources engaged in national security education, establish a "training for trainers" team, and promptly formulate classification guidelines for the training of national security education teachers and cadres. We need to refine the hierarchical, classified, and graded goals and tasks of national security education for cadres, students, and the general public. We should carry out targeted, targeted, and job oriented training, and design diverse educational and propaganda themes and forms for different groups such as science and technology workers, public officials, enterprise personnel, students, and the general public. Innovate propaganda methods and means to deeply instill national security awareness in people's hearts. We should give full play to the role of mainstream media as the main channel, set up special topics, columns, and editions at all levels and types of media, and strengthen the promotion of the national security situation, policies, and case studies. Widely utilizing new media and methods that appeal to audiences, combined with hot events, vividly promote and popularize national security knowledge, grasp the timing, degree, and effectiveness of national security propaganda, expand the coverage and influence of national security education and propaganda, actively occupy the online public opinion battlefield, and crack down on false information and rumors related to national security in accordance with the law. Continuously carry out special propaganda and education activities on counter-terrorism, anti separatism, anti infiltration, anti leakage, and anti espionage among the public, disseminate typical cases and deeds of safeguarding national security, and create a public opinion environment where everyone is responsible and accountable for safeguarding national security. The country thrives on peace, and the people enjoy peace. National security is the foundation of national rejuvenation, and national security education needs to fully mobilize the entire society and gather the powerful force to safeguard national security and build a safe China.
