The main pump, as the "heart" of the reactor coolant system, is the most critical, core, and difficult to manufacture equipment. The "Linglong No.1" main pump installed this time adopts innovative design and has the ability to operate stably for a long time under extreme conditions of high temperature and high pressure. This device will undertake the critical task of circulating the coolant in the nuclear reactor, continuously transferring the thermal energy generated by the core to the steam generator, and producing steam for power generation. It is reported that as the world's first land-based commercial small reactor to pass the General Safety Review of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the Linglong-1 is considered a benchmark for the development of small reactor technology worldwide.
