In March of this year, the number of online illegal and harmful information reports received nationwide decreased by 0.3% year-on-year

According to data released by the Central Cyberspace Administration's Reporting Center on April 10th, in March 2025, the center guided various levels of cyberspace reporting departments and major website platforms across the country to receive 18.479 million reports of illegal and harmful information such as pornography, gambling, infringement, and rumors from netizens, an increase of 4.5% compared to the previous month and a decrease of 0.3% compared to the previous year. Among them, the Central Cyberspace Administration's Reporting Center received 391000 reports, local cyberspace reporting departments received 824000 reports, and major website platforms across the country received 17.263 million reports. Among the reports received by major website platforms nationwide, 91.3% were received by major commercial website platforms. The Central Cyberspace Administration's Reporting Center stated that currently, major website platforms across the country are continuously unblocking reporting channels and accepting and handling reports from netizens. Internet users can actively participate in comprehensive network governance and jointly maintain a clear cyberspace through channels such as the 12377 reporting hotline and the "Online Reporting" client.
