The retail industry prosperity index for April was 50.5%

The data released by the China Chamber of Commerce on the 6th showed that in April, the China Retail Prosperity Index (CRPI) was 50.5%, up 0.3 percentage points from the previous month, maintaining an expansion range. Among them, the commodity management index was 50.1%, up 0.2 percentage points month on month, returning to the expansion range; The leasing operation index was 52.7%, up 1.3 percentage points month on month, maintaining a mid to high level of prosperity; The e-commerce business index was 50.1%, unchanged from last month. Analysis suggests that the overall performance of the retail industry improved in April, with rental business indices remaining high, e-commerce business indices remaining stable, and commodity business indices slightly recovering, reflecting varying degrees of improvement in both online and offline commodity business expectations. The spring launch of new products, the expansion of subsidies for trade in of consumer goods, and innovative attempts in diversified consumption scenarios are all beneficial for commodity management enterprises to leverage their offline advantages and expand their operations. Newly added leasing enterprises have opened stores one after another, while existing enterprises continue to develop with policy support.
