On March 31st, CNOOC announced that China has discovered a 1.9-60 billion ton oil field in Huizhou during exploration in the eastern waters of the South China Sea. This is the first time that China has discovered a large-scale integrated oil field in deep-sea ultra deep clastic rocks, demonstrating the potential for oil and gas exploration in China's offshore deep-sea ultra deep fields. Huizhou 19-6 Oilfield is located in Huizhou Sag, the Pearl River Mouth Basin, about 170 km away from Shenzhen City, with an average water depth of 100 meters. After testing, the daily production of crude oil from drilling is 413 barrels, and the daily production of natural gas is 68000 cubic meters. Through continuous exploration, the proven geological reserves of Huizhou 19-6 Oilfield have exceeded 100 million tons of oil equivalent. The "Nanhai No.2" drilling platform is conducting drilling operations in the waters of Huizhou 19-6 oilfield.
