AI tracks, intelligent cycling, charging seats... In order to provide better services and experiences for visitors, more and more parks are now equipped with new intelligent facilities. However, our reporter's investigation found that many intelligent facilities are not well maintained and managed. Watching the 'black technology' in these parks has indeed put a lot of effort into it. For example, some parks have installed electric flooring, which can trigger the fog forest system for visitors to water plants while walking; Some parks are equipped with heart rate monitors, and visitors only need to hold the sensor with both hands, and the display screen can report their heart rate and provide corresponding exercise suggestions. Due to long-term lack of maintenance, a considerable number of devices have been in a state of black screens, covered in dust, and almost abandoned. As the tourists roast, if the intelligent facilities are always "disabled", it would be better to vacate the space and add some traditional fitness equipment that can be used. Especially for many pocket parks, which already have limited space and can be called "doing dojos in snail shells", occupying space but having little use, it is difficult to say that it is not a waste of resources. Embracing the wave of intelligence, the park's attempt to unlock "AI new experiences" is worthy of recognition. But such 'mediocre' practices also expose the shortcomings in park management. In fact, the technology of many smart devices is not mature enough, and some parks lack research, are busy trying new things, and have not figured out the daily operation and maintenance. After the cooperation with the technology company ended, subsequent maintenance and management naturally became troublesome. Dismantling equipment means that the initial investment will be wasted, and it also concerns the issue of future re planning. Not dismantling it would be even more distressing, abandoning it would be unsightly, and re managing and maintaining it would be inadequate. Today, building smart cities is the trend. Although parks are just a small world, they also carry people's aspirations for more livable and intelligent cities. The key to building a smart park is to adapt to local conditions. How to update facilities with controllable costs and sustainable operation and maintenance, and how to coordinate the appearance and style of newly built facilities with the original cultural and natural landscape, all aspects need to be considered thoroughly. Ultimately, the construction of smart cities must revolve around the core element of 'people'. Putting people first, valuing practicality, intelligent facilities can be used well and for a long time. From daily necessities to decision-making and operation, the "urban brain" is constantly expanding, and a smart city that can perceive, think, and have warmth is gradually becoming a reality. Promote the construction towards practicality and refinement, and the "intelligence" of the city will lift up a better future. (New Society)
