On March 11th, Sun Peng was making silver jewelry at the Laoshixing Silver Building Workshop in Yingkou. In the Laoshixing Silver Building Workshop, a century old building in Liaohe Old Street, Yingkou City, Liaoning Province, Sun Peng, as the sixth generation inheritor of Laoshixing's gold and silver production skills, a representative project of Liaoning Province's intangible cultural heritage, is busy carving and processing silver jewelry. Sun Peng, who just celebrated his 27th birthday, has 10 years of experience as a silversmith. He has been fond of handicrafts since childhood. From apprentice to master, every strike and every chisel embodies his love and persistence for silversmith skills. The handmade production of silver jewelry involves multiple processes such as melting silver, forging, chiseling, and polishing. In order to improve his skills, Sun Peng once traveled to Yunnan, Guangxi and other places to learn and exchange the production techniques of silver jewelry and silverware. A silver piece hammered ten thousand times, a silver ornament hidden with ingenuity. The craftsmanship of Lao Shixing's gold and silver production, which has been passed down for over 120 years, is exquisite, with rich patterns and unique shapes. As a young inheritor of skills, Sun Peng said, "Learning to make silver art not only taught me a skill, but also made me feel the charm of traditional culture. I hope to inherit this skill like my master in the future
