Gaiwan tea is a representative of Sichuan tea culture. In Chongzhou, Sichuan, intangible cultural heritage product designer Bai Jingbo selected Dehua white porcelain from Fujian as the tea set, and combined it with Chongzhou's national intangible cultural heritage Daoming bamboo weaving. He chose Ci bamboo, which has been growing for 2 to 3 years, for ripple weaving, and integrated bamboo weaving techniques into the bowl and cup body. Bai Jingbo fired the traditional Chinese painting style image of a panda embracing bamboo onto the cup body, and designed a bamboo woven bowl with Sichuan local characteristics called "Panda Embracing Bamboo". In 2020, Bai Ziyi, the daughter of Bai Jingbo, returned from studying abroad and was influenced by her father. As a post-95s, she took the initiative to learn various local intangible cultural heritage skills and culture. On the basis of the first generation of panda shaped bowl covers, Bai Ziyi added cute and interesting elements that are loved by young people to design the second generation "Panda Embracing Bamboo" bamboo woven bowl covers, which won multiple design competition awards and also had outstanding sales performance in the market. During the 2023 Chengdu Universiade, the "Panda Embracing Bamboo" bamboo woven bowl was showcased as a non heritage cultural and creative product at multiple foreign affairs events, receiving praise from guests around the world. At present, Bai Ziyi is collaborating with local "new farmers" in Chongzhou to develop cultural and creative products with unique local bamboo weaving characteristics. Only by integrating traditional culture into works and keeping creativity up with market trends can we continue the vitality of intangible cultural heritage, "said Bai Ziyi. (New Society)
