On March 10, 2025, Unit 3 of State Grid Xinyuan Jiangsu Jurong Pumped Storage Power Station, the world's tallest pumped storage power station, was officially connected to the grid for power generation. At this point, the first three units of the station have all been put into operation, and the current grid connected power generation capacity has reached 675000 kilowatts, adding another large clean "power bank" to the Yangtze River Delta region.
