Low altitude economy is hotly discussed both inside and outside the venue

"How can a plane fly?" "How high can it fly?" "Which regions can it fly?"...... In the panel discussion of the scientific and technological circles at the Third Session of the 14th CPPCC National Committee held on March 9, when it came to the topic of low altitude economic development, Yang Jiancheng, the deputy director of the Institute of Modern Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, threw out a series of questions, which triggered heated discussions among other members present. During this year's National People's Congress and Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the topic of low altitude economy remains hot. This year's government work report proposes to carry out large-scale application demonstration actions for new technologies, products, and scenarios, and promote the safe and healthy development of emerging industries such as commercial aerospace and low altitude economy. To develop, regulatory rules must keep up Yang Jiancheng suggested to accelerate the formulation of relevant laws and regulations such as low altitude flight management measures and interim regulations on unmanned aerial vehicle flight management. But these are not enough. Standardizing airspace management is also crucial In Yang Jiancheng's opinion, it is necessary to clarify the norms for the use of low altitude airspace, the approval procedures for flight activities, and the rules for dividing safety responsibilities. At the same time, according to the characteristics and functions of various low altitude flight activities, airspace should be classified and managed, and low altitude flight airspace should be designated to achieve real-time monitoring and dynamic management of low altitude airspace. As soon as Yang Jiancheng finished speaking, Wu Ximing, the chief technical expert of AVIC, who was sitting next to him, stood up. Low altitude economy is Wu Ximing's professional field, and he is particularly concerned about it. Wu Ximing turned his head and proposed to Yang Jiancheng, "We will continue to discuss it after the meeting." "China is doing low altitude economy and can also achieve it." After the meeting, Wu Ximing said in an interview with Science and Technology Daily, "Because we have unique institutional advantages." In recent years, facing the trillion dollar blue ocean of low altitude economy, both policy and industry sides have been advancing simultaneously, making efforts in both directions. As of now, many regions across the country have included the development of low altitude economy in their local government work reports, and some provinces have also formulated action plans. Wu Ximing believes that how to achieve cost reduction and efficiency improvement in low altitude economy is the problem that China needs to solve in the current development of low altitude economy. To increase the value of social time while reducing flight costs In Wu Ximing's view, with the continuous improvement of social modernization and the sustained development of low altitude economy, the value of time will be redefined. Shortening people's travel time means more time to create more social benefits. To achieve cost reduction and efficiency improvement, it is also necessary to consider the development situation of various regions and coordinate at the national level to achieve a unified strategy for the whole country He thinks. The group discussion has ended, but the committee members' discussion on low altitude economy is still ongoing. Developing low altitude economy means adapting to local conditions After the meeting, Chen Jiang, a researcher at the 510 Institute of the Fifth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, said in an interview with Science and Technology Daily. Last year, Chen Jiang conducted field research in multiple areas of Gansu, visiting enterprises, research institutes, and low altitude scene characteristic demonstration zones. In his opinion, the northwest region has vast land and sparse population, abundant energy, and great potential for developing low altitude economy. However, due to outdated infrastructure and deep inland conditions, the low altitude economy in the region is facing development difficulties. Therefore, at this two sessions, Chen Jiang brought a proposal on supporting the high-quality development of low altitude economy in the northwest region. The low altitude economy is very hot, but not all places need to rush forward Chen Jiang suggested establishing demonstration zones in different regions to clarify the industrial advantages of developing low altitude economy in different areas, thereby promoting the long-term and orderly development of low altitude economy.
