Chinese scientists have successfully developed the "Zuchong-3" quantum computing prototype

2025-03-04

The reporter learned from the University of Science and Technology of China that recently, Pan Jianwei, Zhu Xiaobo, Peng Chengzhi and others at the university successfully built a 105 bit superconducting quantum computing prototype called "Zuchong No.3", which can handle quantum random circuit sampling problems at a speed tens of billions of times faster than the current international fastest supercomputer, once again breaking the world record for the superiority of superconducting quantum computing. On the 3rd, the internationally renowned academic journal "Physical Review Letters" published this achievement, and the reviewers believe that it "constructs the highest level of superconducting quantum computer currently available".
