According to the epitaph, the tomb owner Qu Qing was originally from Longxi and was born in Luoyang during the Northern Wei Dynasty. He passed away in Xiangzhou during the Sui Dynasty (now Anyang). In 2020, the tomb of Qu Qing was discovered in Anyang. In 2021, the Quqing Tomb was selected as one of the top ten archaeological discoveries of the 2020 Silk Road Cultural Heritage. Longxi, as a necessary passage from the Central Plains to the Western Regions, has been the forefront of the northwest border defense controlled by various Central Plains dynasties throughout history. Qu Qing's life exemplified the cultural characteristics of the open and inclusive era in the Central Plains, witnessing the exchange and mutual learning of Eastern and Western civilizations.
