On February 25th, the opening ceremony of the "Oriental Smile" Maijishan Grottoes Mural Art Exhibition was held at the Gansu Bamboo Slips Museum in Lanzhou, Gansu Province. It is reported that the exhibition is a project funded by the National Art Fund in 2024, mainly showcasing the works of Yang Xiaodong and the project team from the Maijishan Grottoes Art Research Institute, who have studied and restored them for many years. It can be regarded as China's largest large-scale Northern Dynasty sutra painting "The Transformation of the Western Pure Land" and "The Story of Suizi's Birth", as well as the unique "Thin Meat Sculpture" mural series in Chinese grotto temple murals. More than a hundred rare and exquisite works are displayed to the public
