On February 18th, the classic play "Mutiny" by Beijing People's Art Theatre made another appearance at the Capital Theater, bringing the audience a thrilling "courtroom" showdown. The film "Mutiny" was directed by American director Charlton Heston and premiered in 1988, starring artists such as Ren Baoxian and Zhu Xu. This kind of play, which relies entirely on dialogue, is known as the epitome of 'drama with a surname'. In 2006, the reformatted "Mutiny" was staged, with Ren Ming serving as the director of the rearrangement. Young and middle-aged actors such as Feng Yuanzheng, Wu Gang, Wang Gang, and Wang Lei took over the baton and have been performing it ever since. It is reported that although it is a foreign work, the stage performance with obvious Chinese expression makes this work one of the representative works of Beijing People's Art Theatre style. The intense dialogue and tight rhythm of the confrontation between the plaintiff and defendant unleashed tremendous energy, and the stage presentation of "Mutiny" was praised by the audience as a "dialogue storm". This round of performance will continue until February 24th. (New Society)
