The Central Military Commission recently issued the newly revised Regulations of the CPC on Military Patrol Work (hereinafter referred to as the Regulations), which will come into force on February 1, 2025. The Regulations adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, comprehensively implement Xi Jinping Thought on Strengthening the Military and General Secretary Xi Jinping's important thoughts on the Party's self revolution, and based on the Party Constitution and the Regulations on the Inspection Work of the Communist Party of China, systematically summarize the theoretical, practical, and institutional innovations of military inspection work in the new era, further improve the system, mechanism, and responsibility system of inspection work, which is of great significance for adhering to and strengthening the centralized and unified leadership of the Party Central Committee and the Central Military Commission over military inspection work, and promoting the high-quality development of military inspection work. The Regulations consist of 8 chapters and 50 articles, clarifying the functional positioning, work policies, overall requirements, and basic principles of military inspections. They comprehensively regulate the responsibilities of organizational leaders and institutions, inspection objects and contents, work procedures, methods, and authorities, inspection rectification and results application, as well as team building and accountability. At the same time, they provide principles and norms for internal inspections and inspection work, providing a basic basis for the military to carry out inspection work. (New Society)
