At the beginning of the Chinese New Year, the construction site of the Lion Ocean Passage project, a super project in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, was bustling with activity. The main bridge of the project, Shiziyang Bridge, and 32 other key construction sites have fully resumed work and production. The Lion Ocean Passage is another mega project in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, following the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge and the Shenzhen Zhongshan Passage. The project is an east-west multi story composite highway channel, and its controlling engineering project, the Shiziyang Bridge, adopts a main span of 2180 meters and a double-layer steel truss suspension bridge that spans the river in one go. The completion of the project will open up a new important channel for the integrated development of the east and west sides of the the Pearl River Estuary. (New Society)
