The latest statistical accounting results show that in 2024, the ratio of total social logistics costs to GDP in China will be 14.1%, a decrease of 0.3 percentage points from 2023 and the lowest level since the official establishment of statistics in 2006. From the perspective of major logistics links, in 2024, the ratio of transportation costs to GDP will decrease by 0.2 percentage points, and the ratio of management costs to GDP will decrease by 0.1 percentage points. It is reported that in the next step, the National Development and Reform Commission and other departments will accelerate the implementation of railway freight network projects and inland waterway system connectivity projects, support the construction of international logistics hub centers and bulk commodity resource allocation hubs in regions with conditions, and strive to reduce the ratio of total social logistics costs to GDP to around 13.5% by 2027.
