The Conference on the Development of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Healthy Aquaculture opened in Liangping, Chongqing. Many experts, academicians, scholars, research institutes, enterprises, and local government representatives from multiple provinces in China gathered in Liangping to discuss new paths for industrial development and contribute to the high-quality development of Chongqing's traditional Chinese medicine industry and food and medicine industries. As one of the main production areas of traditional Chinese medicine in China, Chongqing has incorporated the traditional Chinese medicine industry into the overall planning of the 500 billion level food and agricultural product processing industry cluster. In order to promote the sustainable development of traditional Chinese medicine and healthy aquaculture industry, the conference released the "Liangping Initiative for Traditional Chinese Medicine and Healthy Aquaculture", advocating that the entire industry should promote the integration of the traditional Chinese medicine and healthy aquaculture industry chain under the system framework of "traditional Chinese medicine+feed+veterinary medicine+aquaculture+food+health", establish a complete quality traceability system, improve overall economic, ecological and social benefits, achieve comprehensive utilization of resources and green circular development. At the same time, we will strengthen brand building and talent cultivation, vigorously develop new formats, models, industries, and systems in the animal feed Chinese herbal medicine industry, and promote the integrated and coordinated development of planting, breeding, agriculture, food, medicine, and pharmacy. At the meeting, the People's Government of Liangping District signed cooperation agreements with research institutes and expert associations such as the Rural Revitalization Achievement Transformation Special Committee of the Association of Senior Science and Technology Workers of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the Chinese Herbal Medicine Planting and Breeding Professional Committee of the China Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Chinese Veterinary Medicine and Feed Professional Committee, the Non Antibiotic Functional Food Branch of the China Food and Drug Safety Promotion Association, the Zhongguancun Chinese Veterinary Medicine Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance, and the Agricultural Science Food Safety Group, and jointly released the "Liangping Initiative on Chinese Herbal Medicine and Healthy Breeding" with the Liangping Government. At the conference, seven experts including Mao Zhenbin, Zhai Huqu, and Yin Yulong were appointed as scientific and technological advisors of Liangping District. At the Food and Drug Homology Exchange Sub venue, under the witness of Academician Mao Zhenbin from the United Nations International Academy of Ecological Life Safety Sciences, former Director of the Inspection Bureau of the State Food and Drug Administration, and President of the China Food and Drug Safety Promotion Association, as well as several academicians and experts, and local leaders from Liangping District, the establishment of the "China Food and Drug Safety Promotion Association Non Resistant Functional Food Branch" was unveiled. Diao Yulin, Secretary General of the Rural Revitalization Achievement Transformation Special Committee of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Deputy Director of the Chinese Veterinary Medicine and Feed Special Committee of the Chinese Association, was elected as the main member. As the Vice Chairman and Secretary General of the Food and Beverage Branch for Non Resistant Functional Ingredients, He Suxu from the Feed Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences was elected as the Deputy Secretary General, and Cui Lei from China Inspection Group and Yang Yong, the Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of Chongqing Pharmaceutical Planting Research Institute, were appointed as honorary advisors and presented appointment letters. Several academicians, industry experts, and enterprise representatives gathered together to explore the innovative development path of the food and medicine industry with the same origin and no resistance safety function. The establishment of the Non Resistant Functional Food Branch will bring together the entire industry chain of agricultural breeding and food processing/circulation, fully leveraging technology, talent, resources, data platforms, testing, traceability, certification, etc., to create a food safety industry chain for non resistant functional food ingredients. Grasp the disease entering through the mouth. Give full play to the credibility of national level association platforms, safeguard national health, deepen food safety, and benefit national health. At the meeting, experts gave scientifically advanced expert reports on food safety and regulation, health preservation and application prospects of food and medicine, and the hazards of antibiotic use. More than a hundred academicians, experts, research institutions, and enterprises and institutions attended the conference and made exchanges and speeches on the food and medicine industry chain and national health. They conducted extensive and in-depth discussions.
