Han Zheng stated that President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Modi recently had a successful meeting and reached important consensus on improving and developing China India relations. As ancient civilizations and emerging powers in the East, China and India adhere to independence and maintain unity and cooperation, which has global influence and strategic significance. Next year will mark the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and India. Both sides need to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, maintain the momentum of high-level exchanges, cultivate political mutual trust, gradually restore mechanism based dialogue and exchanges and cooperation in areas such as economy, trade, and culture, and promote the return of bilateral relations to a stable development track.
Doval stated that the resumption of the special representatives' meeting on the border issue between India and China after a five-year hiatus is an important action to implement the consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries and is of great significance for promoting the development of bilateral relations. The Indian side is willing to strengthen strategic communication with the Chinese side, expand mutually beneficial cooperation, and inject new impetus into the development of bilateral relations.
