On December 17th, the 12th China Laos Two Party Theoretical Seminar with the theme of "Improving the Development System - China's Experience, Laos' Experience" was held in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province. Li Shulei, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Minister of the Propaganda Department, and Ji Qiao, member of the Central Political Bureau of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and Deputy Prime Minister of the government, attended and delivered keynote speeches. Kanpan, Secretary of the Central Secretariat of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and Minister of the Central Propaganda Department, attended.
Li Shulei stated that China and Laos are socialist friendly neighbors. In recent years, General Secretary Xi Jinping and General Secretary Tonglun have held multiple meetings, guiding the construction of a community with a shared future for China and Laos in the new era and pointing out the direction for the development of relations between the two parties and countries. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, has continuously deepened its understanding of the regularity of economic work, put forward a series of new concepts, ideas, and strategies, and led China's economic development to achieve historic achievements and undergo historic changes. China adheres to and strengthens the Party's comprehensive leadership over economic work, adheres to the people-centered development ideology, continuously improves the system and mechanism for promoting high-quality economic development, regards technological self-reliance and self-improvement as strategic support for development, coordinates the promotion of deep level reforms and high-level opening up, continues to deepen institutional reforms in the field of people's livelihood, and achieves sustained and healthy economic development while improving the quality of people's lives.
Laos spoke highly of the remarkable achievements made by the leadership of the CPC in promoting institutional and mechanism reform, and expressed its willingness to work with China to implement the important consensus reached by the top leaders of both sides, deepen ideological and cultural exchanges, enhance political mutual trust, and promote the building of a high standard, high-quality, high-level community of common destiny between Laos and China.
