At 12:46 on the 4th, at the Xichang Satellite Launch Center, the upgraded version of the Kuaizhou-1A solid carrier rocket was launched for the first time, sending the Haishao-1 satellite (Zhongke Satellite 08) into its designated orbit. The launch mission was a complete success. Haishao-1 satellite is a SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) payload remote sensing satellite that can achieve on-board imaging and ocean dynamic information inversion and extraction, with a wide range of application scenarios. The upgraded version of the Kuaizhou-1A rocket used for this mission is a small solid carrier rocket developed by the Rocket Company under the Ninth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation. It adopts technologies such as high load ratio optimization, de tasking, landing zone control, and online parameter tuning. Compared to the regular Kuaizhou-1A rocket, the "upgraded version" has stronger carrying capacity, higher reliability, and better performance. Its low Earth orbit carrying capacity has been increased from 300 kilograms to 450 kilograms, and the fairing diameter has been increased from 1.4 meters to 1.8 meters, providing better adaptability, flexibility, and convenience for commercial launch missions. This mission is the 28th flight of the Kuaizhou-1A rocket and the 34th flight of the Kuaizhou-1A series of carrier rockets. (New Society)
