At 13:56 on the 3rd, the Long March 3B carrier rocket (hereinafter referred to as "Chang-3B") was ignited and launched from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center, accurately sending the Communication Technology Test Satellite 13 into the predetermined orbit. The launch mission was a complete success. Thus, Changsanyi has achieved China's first single type rocket with 100 space launches, creating another new record in the development of China's carrier rockets. It is reported that the Communication Technology Experiment Satellite 13 is mainly used for satellite communication, broadcasting and television, data transmission and other services, and carries out related technical experiments and verifications. The person in charge of the China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology, a subsidiary of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, told reporters that the Chang-3B took 28 years from its maiden flight in 1996 to completing 100 launches, making it the single model with the most space launches in China, with a launch success rate of 98.6%. As the main high orbit carrier rocket in China, the Chang-3B is closely connected to major engineering tasks such as the Chang'e project, Beidou satellite, and communication satellite. Since the launch of China's first Beidou navigation test satellite in October 2000, the Chang-3B series of rockets, consisting of Chang-3B, Chang-3A, and Chang-3C, successfully escorted 64 Beidou navigation satellites into orbit until September 2024, with a launch success rate of 100%. In 2013 and 2018, Chang'e-3 and Chang'e-4 probes were launched into their designated orbits by Chang'e-3 and Chang'e-4 respectively. In addition, Changsanyi has also undertaken multiple international and domestic communication satellite launch missions, such as Weixing-1, Baxing-1R, Nixing-1R, AP-7, Zhongxing 11, Zhongxing 12, etc. The success of these launch missions not only strengthens China's cooperation with other countries in the aerospace field, but also enhances the international competitiveness of China's commercial satellite launch services.
